cloud geek
So what could be more fun for a total cloud lover than to have your photo featured on the NECN weatherman's webpage? Next thing you know I'm going to turn into one of those people (you know who you are) who calls in the temperature and rainfall amounts and gets their name announced on the 6 PM forecast. Check out all the featured weather/sky photos here.
Bonus points to anyone (you might need to be local to Cape Cod/Barnstable to figure this out) who knows where this was taken.

back from the ashes
I mentioned back in November that Yahoo had deleted my old homesickcure website, along with thousands of other sites hosted on the old Yahoo Geocities. Even though the site was old and I rarely updated it, it had a lot of family history, images and links that would take a lot of time to recreate, and I hadn't been diligent about backing up my work. (Or, to be more accurate, I hadn't backed it up at all.) So when the site was just deleted with no notice, it was pretty heart-wrenching.
Just recently when doing a search I discovered that there is this amazing person(s) who realized the value of the Geocities sites, and has been working to restore and recreate the Geocities pages, including mine. So, now that my old neglected site is accessible again, I'll get busy saving the information, expanding on the family history, and making it available in a new format. Stay tuned.
