where I was moved by the

elegant simplicity,

straight lines and subtle curves,
the pale light through the rippled glass,
the quiet beauty of the everyday.

two by two

For an hour or so this week

I was transported back to childhood as

 I got to play with the most amazing

rare antique Noah's ark.

While Dan repaired some of the birds and animals 

(new little moose antler, tiny little spider leg),

I got to arrange them in marching order, two by two,

on the custom stand he built,

making their way down to the ark.
