evening walk

After-supper walk

on a mid-June evening.

The sweet low light

revealing hidden treasures.

 

daylight lingers

 I spent the extra daylight hour on Sunday 

at Sandy Neck,

tromping through the dunes,

facing down the wind,

squinting into the sun,

 lingering until the last chilly morsel of light left the sky.
