sea sights

A scrumptious warm November afternoon,
among the dunes and by the sea,
finding light, lines, and texture.

And a little sandy love.

blinded by the light : 53 project week 43

I need to step outside my comfort zone
and take pictures of something other than
sea and sky and sand and shells and seagulls and sunsets.
But I'm surrounded on all sides,
and blinded by the beauty and the light.

Light in my eyes.

Day-after-Thanksgiving revelers playing in the light.

 Scallop light.

This woman had just thrown a piece of driftwood into the ocean,
and stood for a long while watching it head towards the light.

Foam light.

Crossing against the light.

Green light.

Bird light.

Low light.

Window light.

Night light.

wellfleet walk : 53 project week 40

Great Island was sparkling
in the post nor'easter sun,
calm seas, scattered clouds
and wide-open skies.

freshest blue

This week, in celebration of unofficial summer (and for my one best shot for the "You Capture" assignment), here's my take on what summer on Cape Cod feels like -- full of air and light and sky and blue.

....Then the sea
And heaven rolled as one and from the two
Came fresh transfigurings of freshest blue.
