This week's "
You Capture" assignment is
depth of field. I'm kind of stuck on photographing the emerging spring, so bear with me.
I love the watercolor detail of these little blue flowers, in focus or unfocused.
And the way the light turns the viburnum buds in the background into little beads of pink.
The fern leaves unfurling into the distance.
And ajuga abstracted.
As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "it's not the length of life, but the depth of life."
Or depth of field. :)
Happy Thursday!
oh, these came out great! Love the top one. Did you have to play with these much after you took them?
ReplyDeleteHoly wow. You think these suck? I think these are outstanding. Lovely as can be. So nice to visit today and see this loveliness!
ReplyDeleteOh my these are so lovely. The first photo is just amazing with that sweet blue and wonderful DOF. Spring is in the air.

ReplyDeleteI love those ferns!
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful! Great captures!
ReplyDeleteyes, that first shot looks like a painting. And the second two are so neat, especially the one on the right!
ReplyDeleteAnd you made me miss my Ajuga. I used to have a lot in a flower bed at our old house. It was SO pretty when it bloomed!
Yes, it is the depth of life. I believe this means I should close this laptop. I like the image that looks like pink and green stems--very nice.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the ajuga photo - very dreamy!
